Launching a €10 million Horizon Europe project to advance transplant oncology and improve care for patients with colorectal liver metastases
The LiT-Met project has officially started with its Kick-off Meeting, marking the beginning of a five-year European collaboration supported by the Horizon Europe Cancer Mission with €10 million in funding.
Coordinated by Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, the project brings together leading experts in transplant oncology, cancer research, artificial intelligence, health economics and patient advocacy from across Europe. LiT-Met aims to generate the scientific evidence needed to assess whether liver transplantation can become a new standard-of-care option for carefully selected patients with colorectal liver metastases.
Wise Angle is proud to be part of this multidisciplinary consortium, leading communication, dissemination, stakeholder engagement and exploitation activities. Throughout the project, we will work closely with partners to ensure that scientific results are effectively communicated to healthcare professionals, policymakers, patient organisations and the wider public, maximising the project’s scientific, societal and policy impact.

The consortium will also build on the vision and scientific leadership of Prof. Matteo Ravaioli, whose internationally recognised expertise in transplant oncology has been instrumental in bringing this ambitious initiative to life.
We are excited to begin this journey alongside our European partners and contribute to transforming cutting-edge research into tangible benefits for patients and healthcare systems across Europe.
Further news and project updates will be shared regularly on the LiT-Met LinkedIn page, while additional information and resources will soon be available on the project website. Stay connected for the latest developments.
