When considering brain disease research, technological advances have been proved particularly effective. Big Data Analytics and Machine Learning methods can provide clinically actionable information that can complement medical recommendations and foster better treatments. As such, ALAMEDA’s objective is to research and prototype the next generation of personalized AI healthcare support systems for people with brain diseases and disorders, specifically focusing on the needs of patients with Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis and Stroke (PMSS). Through employing a combination of wearable sensors, smart device applications and an online hub, the project seeks to develop an innovative system for understanding disease evolution and preventively act on diagnosis and treatment.

ALAMEDA is a European collaborative project that receives funding from the European Research and Innovation Programme Horizon 2020. It officially kicked off on January 25th, 2021.
